GRINDING WHEEL WITH EXTRA-THIN BLADE AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To heighten the corrosion resistance of an abrasive grain layer remarkably so as to prevent abrasion/corrosion even in case of using acid abrasive liquid containing dissolved carbon dioxide and thereby obtain a long life by forming a metal plated phase into an Ni base alloy containing 0.5-3wt% of P. CONSTITUTION:Using electroplating liquid M containing sulfamine acid Ni: 250-700g/l, hypophosphorous acid: 0.05-3g/l, boric acid: 10-50g/l, a small quantity of a stress reducing agent and a small quantity of a pit preventing agent, extra- abrasive grain is dispersed in this electroplating liquid M so as to deposit an abrasive grain layer 14 of the specified thickness on a flat substrate. The abrasive layer 14 is then separated from the flat substrate 12 and subjected to cleaning and shaping to be formed into a ring, thus obtaining a desired extra-thin blade grinding wheel with the high corrosion-resisting abrasive grain layer 14.
