Ca-anorthite, Ba-anorthite and Mg-silicate are ground together in ratio between 3:1:1 and 1:1:3, the mix is then burned at 1050-1280 deg.C and the cooled frit is ground and mixed with Al2O3. - The final composition comprises (%): 94-98 Al2O3, 0.1-0.6 CaO, 0.1-0.8 BaO, 0.2-0.9 MgO and 0.9-3.4 SiO2
