A procedure and device for showing film transparencies (7) on a text projector (2). The transparencies (7) are in a ring binder (6), the back cover of which is located in an approximately horizontal support (5) and the front cover is hanging approximately vertically in a holder (9). The height of the support (5) is regulated in relation to the projector (2), so that the rings on the ring binder protrude over the glass plate on the text projector (2), and the transparency (7) that is to be shown is evenly placed on the glass plate of the text projector (2). When the transparency (7) has been shown, the support (5) is guided away from the text projector (2), so that the transparency falls and remains hanging vertically by its own weight from the rings in the ring binder.
