Rapid strip test for dosing alpha-gliadin antibodies in the diagnosis of gastro-intestinal disorders

Rapid strip test method for the dosing of anti-alpha gliadin antibodies in the diagnoses of gastro-intestinal disorders, characterised by the fact of: - using a strip test (1) provided at one end with a layer of absorbent material of a fibrous or spongy nature (s) which in turn presents: - at least a first surface portion (3) impregnated with an antigen solution, preferably alpha-gliadin; - at least a second or remaining surface portion (2) strictly adjacent to the first (3) impregnated in the dry condition with a non-specific proteic solution, preferably gelatine or albumen serum, so that, after contact (for example sprinkling or immersion) with serum or blood from the patient, washing and putting into contact (for example sprinkling or immersion) with anti-personal antibodies joined with an enzyme, preferably alkaline phosphatase, suitable for recognising the new class IgA or IgG immunoglobulins (= antibodies), this is made to react then with the specific substrate revealing in this way the interaction of the antibodies of the serum with the said antigen in the said first portion, determining the development of colour exclusively in the said first portion compared to the second (Fig. 1)
