Improvements to a CO2 laser powered at about 500 W, for carrying out welding by penetration on steels and other metals

With the improvements as of the invention, low powered lasers (about 500 W) are enabled to carry out even welding by penetration. They comprise in the application, on each laser tube, a metal shield and a special nozzle provided with a guard. To generate the pulses a rectangular pulse generator, which generates pulses lasting longer than 800 microseconds at a frequency between 10 and 200 Hz is sufficient.
