Anti-hypertensive compound with beta blocking and diuretic action

摘要

By combining chemical radicals present in known beta blocking and diuretic action compounds into a single molecular entity the 3-[2-(4-chloro-3-sulphamoyl-benzamide)ethylamino]-1-(3,4-dihydro-3-oxo-2H-1,4-benzothiazine-8-hyloxy)-2-propanol of structure (I) was obtained.The synthesis and the outcomes of the action tests in vitro and in vivo are given. The compound may find a useful application in therapy as an anti-hypertensive agent of a new type, acting through a dual mechanism which includes beta adrenergic receptor blocking and the diuretic effect.
