Determination of IG classes and IGG subclasses of dextran- reactive antibodies (DRA) in dextran-induced anaphylactoid/anaphylactic reactions (DIAR) by means of enzyme-linked-immunosorbent-assay (ELISA)
Determination of IG classes and IGG subclasses of dextran- reactive antibodies (DRA) in dextran-induced anaphylactoid/anaphylactic reactions (DIAR) by means of enzyme-linked-immunosorbent-assay (ELISA)
Using an enzyme-linked-immunosorbent-assay (ELISA) and polyclonal anti-immunoglobulin antibodies, the content of dextran-reactive antibodies (DRA)(IgG, IgG subclasses, IgA and IgM) in sera from 18 patients (8 of the patients had received PROMIT (RTM) before the administration of dextran) was investigated using dextran-induced anaphylactoid/anaphylactic reactions (DIAR). A relationship was found between the titre level of the DRA in the IgG class (especially the IgG2 subclass) and the severity of the clinical reaction. In the investigation of the IgG subclasses, no significant titre could be demonstrated within the IgG3 and IgG4.
