Press, more especially for the production of pressed elements true to size from materials in powder form, having a press stand, in which are provided a press frame and a press table as main and guide axis, which are immovably connected to one another by a mechanical drive means, especially a toggle lever drive, and form a main press ram, characterised in that a hydraulic press part (12) with at least one additional pressing axis or with several additional pressing axes (M-pressing axis, Z-pressing axis and Y-pressing axis) is able to be installed before the main pressing ram (X-pressing axis) between press frame (5) and press table (4) of the mechanical press part (2), that the hydraulic press part (12) forms a self-contained built-in adapter for the mechanical press part (2), and that the working movement of each press shaft or axis of the hydraulic press part (12) can be controlled and regulated (22 to 33), dependent on travel and time (30), by the working movement of that main and guide shaft (X-pressing axis) of the mechanical press part (2) which consists of press frame (5) and press table (4).
