SWATH TREATING ATTACHMENT FOR A SWATHERABSTRACT OF THE INVENTIONAn attachment for a swather comprises a panelwhich is hinged at a front edge on the swather so as tohang downwardly and rearwardly therefrom so that rearedge engages and compresses the swath as it emergesfrom the swather. The panel is spring biased down-wardly to compress the swath against the ground toreduce the danger of wind damage in fluffy crops suchas flax. Side edges of the panel include spring tinesextending outwardly from the rear edge so as tocompress the swath particularly at side edges of theswath with a centre section of the panel bowed upwardlyto reduce the compression action in that area.
