The device comprises a drill string having a first end through which is transmitted the rotation to the drill string and the axial force on the tool (3) during drilling and a second end to which is fixed the tool (3). The device comprises azimuth adjusting means for the drilling tool path constituted by a tubular body (10) having a support blade (11) radially projecting, rotatably mounted on the drill string (2) and a remote operable joining means for fixing in rotation of the drill string (2) and the tubular body (10) in its active position. In the inactive position of the means relies junction, the drill string (2) is free to rotate inside the tubular body which is held rotationally fixed in the borehole by the support blade (11). The support blade (11) is placed in the borehole in an angular orientation to the azimuth adjustment in the desired direction.
