HERBICIDES FOR CONTROLLING CRABGRASS IN TURF

PURPOSE: To obtain a herbicidal composition containing S,S- dimethyl-2-(difluoromethyl)-4-(2-methylpropyl)-6-(trifluoromethyl)-3,5- pyridinecarbodithioate as an active ingredient and to remove Zoysia tenifolia. CONSTITUTION: This herbicidal composition is the one for removing Zoysia tenifolia in the grass and contains S,S-dimethyl-2-(difluoromethyl)-4-(2- methylpropyl)-6-(trifluoromethyl)-3,5-pyridinecarbodithoate as an active ingredient. The composition is used in the form of a liquid (e.g. an emulsion), a solid (e.g. a granule) or a mixed phase of liquid-solid (e.g. a wettable powder, a water- dispersable granule and a microcapsule) and the application amount is 0.14-3.36kg/ha expressed in terms of the active ingredient. The composition can also be used by combining it with manure, other herbicides, agrochemicals, plant growth regulator, mitigator, etc.
