The package comprises plates (1, 2, 3, 4) having a zigzag profile and forming, in the direction (4) of the flow of the first heat carrier, diffuser-confuser channels. In the direction (M) perpendicular to the direction (L), each of the plates (1, 2, 3, 4) has several rows (10) of openings (11) spaced by an equal distance one from another, into which are inserted tubes (11a) for the passage of the second heat carrier. Each of the plates (1, 2, 3, 4) has an odd number of sections (12, 13). A zigzag profile of each of them is offset in relation to the zigzag profile of the adjacent section by half the pitch (t) of the zigzag of the profile. A rotor die for making the plates of said package comprises two rolls (19, 20). The developed length of the forming surface (21, 22) of each of the rolls (19, 20) is divided into an even number of sections of an equal length. The zigzag profile of each of the sections is offset in relation to the zigzag sections of the adjacent sections by half the pitch of the zigzag of the profile.
