The invention relates to precipitation-hardenable ferritic-perlitic (PFP) steels, consisting of 0.2 to 0.5 % of carbon 0.4 to 1.0 % of silicon 0.8 to 1.8 % of manganese 0.008 to 0.2 % of sulphur 0.004 to 0.04 % of nitrogen 0.05 to 0.20 % of vanadium and/or niobium, the remainder being iron and impurities arising from the smelting, for parts which are exposed to high temperatures up to 560 DEG C.
