The retaining piece (3) has threaded rods (6, 8), extending in the axial direction, on which there is placed a sealing plate (9). The sealing plate (9) rests with a seal (10 or 13) on the free end edge (2) of the pipe end (1) and is drawn tightly against the end edge by means of nuts (12).
