Laid pipework is refurbished (or produced) by drawing through the existing pipe a pipe which consists of inner and outer layers and at least one intermediate layer impregnated with a hard-setting resin which is then set hard, and the pipe is inflated, at least at the point where the resin is set. ADVANTAGE - The method is simpler, more favourable environmentally and more economical. It can be used even where the ground water has a high pressure. It produces perfectly sealed pipework capable of withstanding full pressures. It causes no contamination of any existing pipes, the soil, or the environment. It can be used just for the distances where it is required, e.g. can be made to measure and then laid immediately.
