A transportable drive system, which itself is driven by the driven wheels of a motor vehicle, has at least one driving shaft for any partic. machine or equipment. The system has two rollers on independent mountings, each of which carries two parallel rollers to take a driven wheel of the vehicle; the shaft of one roller is connected to that of the corresp. roller of the other mounting and by a linkage; the other two free rollers revolve freely; on each mounting at least the axle of one roller has a drive shaft for the equipment to be driven. To give the rollers a surface with good grip they are roughened with polyester-bound quartz sand e.g. applied loosely onto them. ADVANTAGE - The system allows a drive to be used for prolonged periods without damage to the vehicle from unreasonable wear or severe overheating.
