Syringe with sliding safety sleeve - to prevent injury after syringe use

A syringe has a sleeve (4) which, after use of the syringe, can be shed along the syringe body (1) to enclose the top of the needle (3) and thus prevent the risk of injury. Pref. a catch (5) is provided to fix the sleeve (4) in its advanced position. ADVANTAGE - The risk of infection on handling used syringes is prevented by a sleeve which is already fitted on the syringe and which only requires sliding to an advanced position.
