In the beneficiation of difficult oxidic copper minerals by pulp prepn., sulphidation with elementary sulphur and flotation to obtain a copper sulphide concentrate, the novelty is that pulp sulphidation is effected with molten sulphur, pref. at 115-180 deg. C and 1.5-10 atmos. using a sulphur/oxidic copper wt. ratio of 0.2-1.5:1.
