The mooring side of the pontoon is fitted with one upright post (7) at one end and two upright posts at the other end. The single post (7) has a sliding fitting claw (15) to grip a quayside bollard (4). The two posts (5,6) have a sliding crossbar (19) on which is fitted a horizontally sliding claw (22) to grip a second bollard. The sliding mountings have low friction pads on the grip faces. The horizontally sliding claw enables the mooring system to adjust to different bollar spacings.
