Corrosion protection for water container (1) with an electrically insulated protective anode (2), which if necessary serves simultaneously as the heating elements and/or measuring electrode, has the novelty of a positive connector (3) for the anode and a negative connector (4) for the container wall being electrically connected by a pole-reversal protection diode (7). The anti-corrosion current source (6) provides an output stage (8) coupled to the connectors (3, 4) and having a current limiter and a potential comparator stage (9) in parallel with the connectors. The output stage (8) switches off as soon as a potential drop determined by the comparator stage (9) falls below a given boundary value. ADVANTAGE - The design prevents the damaging effects arising from reversal in the direction of the protective current. (4pp Dwg.No.1/1)
