A prefabricated self-supporting partition has a thin core of concrete to which ceramic or stoneware tiles are applied on both sides. The tiles are applied through thin adhesion promotion layers with embedded glass fibre mats or grids. The concrete can also enclose a steel reinforcement. The partition (2) is a 2-2.5 cm thick plate and has a waterproof concrete core (4) with a central reinforcement (18) of steel bars or a glass fibre mat or grid. Two layers (6,8) of adhesion promoter carry embedded glass fibre mats or grids (0,12). The titles (14,16) are applied to the still moist layers (6,8). ADVANTAGE - This permits loaded articles to be fixed to the partition without any distortion. This partition is very stable, is much thinner and weighs little.
