Dietic food or luxury article contains (a) 1.5-5 wt.% of omega-3-fatty acid(s), (b) 1-5 wt.% of omega-6-fatty acid(s), (c) 0.1-0.5% of Na ions, (d) 0.3-1.5% of K ions, and (e) the usual carriers and additives. Components are (a) eicosapentaene and/or docosahexaene acids, (b) linoleic acid, (c) ions from NaCl, and (d) ions from KCl. Component (b) may be supplied by salad oil, esp. sunflower oil, soya oil, safflower oil or cottonseed oil. USE/ADVANTAGE - A canned food with a filling of the compsn. is claimed, as is use of the food and/or canned food to reduce the risk factor in heart and circulation ailments. The food is easy to prepare and highly active. Systolic and diastolic pressure values are reduced.
