Carotenoid containing product, preferably balanced diet supplement for age-related eye diseases, comprises active materials such as vitamin C, A, B1, B2, nicotinamide, B6, folic acid, B12, D3, biotin, pantothenic acid, zinc, selenium, chromium; secondary plant materials such as carotenoids, flavonoids; sulfur containing amino acid, taurine and omega-3-fatty acid, where the product exist in two different forms with different composition. The first form is solid and the second form is liquid. Carotenoid containing product, preferably balanced diet supplement for age-related eye diseases, comprises (related to a daily dose) active materials such as: (a) vitamin C (50-500 mg); (b) vitamin A (0.1-2 mg); (c) vitamin E (10-400 mg); (d) vitamin B1 (0.2-5 mg); (e) vitamin B2 (0.2-5 mg); (f) nicotinamide (5-50 mg); (g) vitamin B6 (0.2-5 mg); (h) folic acid (0.1-1 mg); (i) vitamin B12 (5-50 mu g); (j) vitamin D3 (0.1-10 mu g); (k) biotin (50-300 mu g); (l) pantothenic acid (3-30 mg); (m) zinc (2-30 mg); (n) selenium (20-100 mu g); (o) chromium (20-100 mu g); (p) secondary plant materials from carotenoids (6-32 mg) (such as beta carotin, lutein, zea xanthine and lycopine), or flavonoids (20-1000 mg) (from citrus fruits, red wine grapes and elderberry); (q) sulfur containing amino acids (20-200 mg) such as L-cystine and/or N-acetylcysteine; (r) taurine (20-200 mg); and (s) omega-3-fatty acid (50-1000 mg). The product is present at least in two different pharmaceutical forms with different compositions of the active materials. The first form is solid that contains omega-3-fatty acid and carotenoids from lutein, zea xanthine and lycopine and the second form is liquid that contains flavonoids from citrus fruits, vitamins and trace elements.
