The top drafting rollers of a spinning frame are clamped in a cradle with spring pressure beneath a pressure lever arm, the cradle being formed from plastic in one piece, with insert for fasteners and springs, and having a flexible back plate. Pref. the cradle presses on the axle of the cot, and is attached to the pressure lever arm through the flexible plate. The top section is retained by the bolt into the insert. Spring pressure is applied by a spiral spring, set into a projection by means of the side clips which close against the lip shaped profile of the top of lower section, and sealed by the sides of the pressure lever arm. ADVANTAGE - The prodn. of the plastic article is less complicated than the metal proda. easier to assemble, and has improved performance.
