Tuning data are used for reception of TV and/or radio transmitters. The search is started at an arbitrary, or preset, starting position of a frequency range available for reception. The tuning data of a first found transmitter are automatically stored in a first program position of a program memory. The attaining of the max. memory storage capacity is automatically checked and the programming is automatically terminated in a positive instance. Otherwise the search is restarted at the frequency, whose tuning data were just stored. The next found transmitter is automatically stored in an adjacent position of the program memory. The steps after checking are automatically repeated. USE/ADVANTAGE - Programming of TV receivers and video recorders, with simple operation for automatic programming.
