High pressure liq., chromatography analyser - with holder for pre-column for opt. needle connection instead of main column

A high-pressure liq. chromatography analyser has a holder (31) for the pre-cut column (43) with connections (32,33) at the end. One of them (32) is disigned to suit the sample needle (21) and the other (33) to suit the needle seat (24). The holder consists of two parts (40,41) which are screwed together and include a cavity to suit the pre-column (43). The upper part (40) has the connection (32) and the lower part (41) has a tubular extension (42) and the connection (33). ADVANTAGE - This simplifies the handling of an HPLC analyser and permits to join the needle (21) either direclty to the seat (24) or to a holder (31) for a pre-column (43).
