The differential amplification (VI) has two push-pull inputs and push-pull outputs. The imputs (4, 5) are supplied with identifical voltage levels (U1, 2), with the frequency (f) to be doubled fed to one imput E or 4). The two push-pull outputs (3, 2) are directly inter-connected. A double frequency (sf) appears at an output (A). Pref. a series-connected, identical, second differential amplifier (V2) is operated as a Schmitt trigger. A reference voltage (Uref) is applied to its one input.
