The mechanism (100) has transverse stops, and another stop (107) effective in the longitudinal direction of the laminations (310). It is programmably adjustable for precise positioning. The laminations are longitudinally aligned by a system, contg. a holder (106), deposition support (101), sliding tongue (102), and clamping lever (103). Pref. the sliding tongue is displaceably mounted in the deposition support, with the clamping lever swivellably mounted above the sliding tongue. The lever head (123) may have a plastics or rubber lining. USE/ADVANTAGE - Automatic, stepped lamination stacking.
