The finishing coats are for the surface of downhill stretches of roads. The coatings have a higher roll resistance factor compared with the normal factor, and so far as possible are adapted to the inclination or slope of the road. The increased rolling resistance may be combined with an increased coefficient of friction between the road surface and the tyres, to avoid the risk of skidding or locking up wheels under severe braking. USE/ADVANTAGE - Modified road surface relieves the strain on vehicle brakes by providing better grip and by increasing the rolling resistance.
