The vacuum-heat-insulated pipes (1) are for conveying hot steam obtained from solar energy evaporates. The steam pipes are enclosed and made air-tight by corrugated pipes (2) which are prevented from touching by spacer-pieces (6). Between the hot steam pipes (1) and the corrugated pipes (2) is a vacuum connected to a vacuum pump by means of a vacuum pipe (5). The pump removes any water vapours which penetrates through the hot-steam pipe (1). At least one of the surfaces facing the vacuum has a reflectant coating, for example of aluminium or silver to prevent radiation. USE/ADVANTAGE - The vacuum thermally insulated pipes enable hot steam to be collected from solar energy recovery devices with min. loss of energy.
