Overhead light providing simulated daylight - use cold light reflector fitted with daylight filter across its front opening

The light uses a halogen light bulb (2) providing a continuous light spectrum, enclosed by a cold light reflector (4) which allows reflection of the major part of the light emitted to the rear. The front opening of the light reflector (4) is fitted with a daylight filter (8) for passage of light with a colour temp. of about 5,600 deg. k, e.g. an interference filter. Pref., the IR light passing through the wall of the cold light reflector (4) is received by a rear diffusion reflector (10) allowing it to be diffused and reflected to the front. ADVANTAGE - Prevents direct heating of illuminated area.
