Hand-rinsing water tap with sequential automatic control - responds to proximity of hands with timed spray of cleansing agent between outflows of warm water

The end of the tap carries a proximity sensor (4) incorporating a photodiode and LED for detection of approach of the hands, on to which a mixt. (14) of hot and cold water is directed (15) automatically for about 1 second. The flow is then interrupted by a control unit (19) while liq. cleaninsing agent is ejected from a separate nozzle (9), after which the warm water supply is resumed. Both liq. flows are controlled automatically be electromagnetic valves (5,10). ADVANTAGE - Warm water (11), liq. soap (9) and possible warm air (18) for drying are supplied in sequence without manual operation of any additional controls.
