In a modular waste water cleaning and disposal sysetm, the central functioning space for sedimentation, pre-rotting, and final rotting and storage of sludge is made up of a floor shell and a roof shell of rectangular ground plan. The roof and floor consist of the number of unitary elements made of plastic, concrete, non-rusting metal plaets, etc. necessary to form an installation of the required size and capacity. The end surfaces of the space thus formed are closed by flat or curved m elements in which the inlet and outlet pipes are preferably located. A biological reactor space, enclosed below by a half shell element or a flat floor element, is arranged around this central space and is filled with gravel or crushed stone or plsatics particles of different sizes. This reactor space receives the distribution pipe and the outlet pipes at the appropriate elevations. The central space may be divided perpendicular to its axis, by curved partitions which do not extend to its floor, into a pre-rotting chamber and a final rotting chamber. The construction elements making up the floor, roof, etc., may have an undulating or trapezoidal or U-shaped cross section, and may be reinforced by cast-in-place concrete. USE/ADVANTAGE - This invention comprises a modular construction method for a non-mechanical multi-function system for the treatment and disposal of waste water from domestic households, agriculture, or businesses of from two to one thousand inhabitants.
