Hydraulic dual circuit brake installation for motor vehicle - has electronic control stage for pressure modulator with drive pressure chamber for automatic braking force distribution approaching ideal
The brake installation has a circuit for the front axle and one for the rear axle and a brake pressure source with an outlet space for each of these circuits in which static pressure can build up proportional to the actuation force. An electro-hydraulic brake-pressure control unit determines the change in brake pressure during the regulation of the antilock and antislip unit and arranges, in normal travel, the distribution of brake force between the front and rear axles to correspond with the ideal characteristic. The control unit includes sensors, providing signals which give the magnitude of the brake pressures in the two circuits and there is at least one, electrically controllable, hydraulic output regulator by means of which the brake pressure in one of the circuits can be increased or decreased relative to the other. There is a buffer pressure store for emergencies. USE/ADVANTAGE - Improved distribution of brake force and in overall performance. Suitable for public vehicles.
