The pneumatically controlled decompression system is for an IC engine. It consists of a valve with a cone-shaped plate (32) and at the opposite end a membrane (2). Through the action of the membrane in the pressure housing (1) an over-pressure space (12) is formed on the side lying opposite to the negative pressure space (11). USE/ADVANTAGE - Rapid reaction decompression mechanism for IC engine which copes with demands at start-up as well as during a variety of operating conditions.
