The pyridine-2,4- and 2,5-dicarboxylic acid di(nitroxyalkyl)amides and their salts have formula (I). R = 1-4C alkylene. (I), where R is methylene, propylene or butylene, are new compounds. (I) are administered orally, especially in doses of 0.01-5.0 mg/kg.day, or parenterally, especially in doses of 0.005-1.0 mg/kg/day. Rectal application may also be used. -
