Polymeric compsns. (I) contain 8-45% (all pts.wt.) flame retardant system comprising (A) at least one free flowing NH4 polyphosphate as powder, difficultly sol. in water. (B) a monomeric triazinylpiperazine as powder. Pref. (A) has formula (NH4PO3)n where n = 200-1000, partic. 700, P content 31-32%, N content 14-15%, and less than 10% water-sol. fraction (in 10% aq. suspension at 25 deg.C). (A) has formula (NH4PO3)n where n = 200-1000, partic. 700, and is micro-encapsulated with melamine-HCHO resin, and has P content 28-30%, N content 15.5-17.5%, and water-sol. fraction less than 9.3%. (I) contains 5-30% (A). -
