Lightweight framework constructions - are made from series of interlocking and preferably similar components which are made of FRP with fibres suitably disposed to transmit loads
A fraework construction is made up from interlocking prefabricated units in such a way that the system of alternating complementary two or more units is combined with one or more other members. The system is pref. composed of one or other form of thermosetting type of fibre-reinforced plastics. ADVANTAGE - The system saves time-consuming fixing work at places which are difficult of access. It permits making structures high or low; making it possible to produce low height structures widens the areas of application. The structures utilise FRP materials in particular and hence weight; in addition the fibres used can be orientated unidirectionally to take the stresses arising. If injection mouldings are used they ensure consistency.
