The pref. audio signal, e.g. music, is amplitude modulated in phase with the sync. freq. by means of an amplitude modulator (2) or amplifier of variable amplification factor. Either is controlled by the sync. freq.. Pulsating audio excitation can be provided by an amplitude modulator or voltage controlled amplifier with an input connectable to connectable to an audio reproducing appts. and a control input connectable to a digitally generated sync. freq.. The housing can accommodate a microprocessor (14) controlling LEDs (16) mountable on a pair of spectacles. ADVANTAGE - Attenuates counter-effective upper harmonies. Avoids both monotomy and sudden changes of level or disharmony.
