The winder machine, especially for lengths of sheeting (10) which are liable to expand and wound onto winder sleeves (13) incorporates a contact roller (11) freely pivot mounted on its support axle. The contact roller (11) moves on a fixed axle (33) parallel to and spaced apart from, the contact roller (1) pivot axle and to the winder shaft (14). The drive mechanism has a driven part engaging with the winder shaft's (14) end surface. USE/ADVANTAGE - Extremely extensible rolls of sheeting can be wound up while retaining speed and automatic roller change.
