An axial hollow feeder with separate contacts at its head delivers DC power to an electrolyte formed by an ion-exchange-membrane forming the negative electrode and also to a positive electrode made of glass/graphite and coated with PbO2. Suitable electrode materials include expanded metal or mesh made of high-grade steel, Ti or Ni. O3 formed at the positive electrode is rapidly stripped away centrifugallyy from the rotating electrode surface and can be used in situ with high oxidn. action. Alternatively the O3 may be collected for delivery to an intermediate vessel to aid a separate process. ADVANTAGE - Absence of pumps, valves, filters and controllers greatly simplifies ozoniser structure.
