Removing fatty or albuminous deposits from appts. - initial cold rinse used to remove undissolved deposits, undissolved particles sepd. from rinsing water
Procedure for removing deposits of fatty or albuminous materials from appts is modified by using an initial rinse with cold water, and recovering the undissolved fatty or albuminous particles from the rinsing water. Biodegradable solvents are applied to appts. surfaces to dissolve the remaining deposits. The undissolved particles in the rinsing water are recovered esp. by straining, using a drainage gully insert in the form of a filter net (1) comprising frame (2) which fits into the gulley (3), and a netting bag (5) to which a netting hose (6) is attached. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used in the cleaning of appts. contaminated by fatty or albuminous deposits, e.g. carried out for example in abattoirs and meat processing plants. Method replaces the customary initial hot water rinse by a cold water rinse, thus removing a part of the deposits in an undissolved state so they can then be sepd from the rinsing water by mechanism e.g. filtering. This reduces amt. of contaminated waste water produced, enables the recovered fatty or albuminous materials to be reused, and economises on the energy consumption of the process.
