One trolley shopping system for self service supermarkets

The self service shopping system comprises a trolley with a shopping container (6), a cash desk with a till system, and a shelf on the trolley for the customer`s own carrying containers (5). The carrying containers can either be placed on the shelf in a position of non-use allowing the shopping coontainer to be used, or irrespective of the position of the container the at least one crrying container can be set down in a position of non-use elsewhere on the trolley. After purchase and after removing the goods from the shopping container for the purpose of billing, the container is moved either manually or automatically into a position of non-use which now makes the shel fully serviceable. The carrying container is brought into the positionof use and can be set on the shelf for the purpose of loading and subsequent onward conveyance. The customers can be provided with their own shopping containers which the customers can place over their own carrying containers on the trolley.
