The power obtained from the auxiliary compensation winding (1) of the AC motor is regulated with regard to the slip and the cos. phi as control variables. The motor apparent power is added, so that the total power factor (cos phi) is unity. A similar electronic regulator is also with the compensation generator arranged in its own housing and driven by the motor shaft. The compensation generator can also be designed for fitting to a bearing endshield flange. USE/ADVANTAGE - Generator integrated in or at AC motor which delivers capacitive reactive wattless power. Power factor can be adjusted with varying load so that motor runs at unity power factor to reduce VA consumption.
