The viscous clutch has a housing (11), coupled to a hydraulic circuit (H), containing a flywheel (21) and one or more electromagnetic blocking valves (31), released electromagnetically against the force of a valve spring (36). The blocking valves (31) act as a control element for determining the filling level of the inner space (20) of the housing (11), to control the drive transfer to the fan wheel (4). Pref. the valve spring (36) is provided by an armature fitted in a channel in the sidewall of the clutch housing (11). ADVANTAGE - Allows output revs to be held constant.
