In appts. for fine-bubble gas-diffusion of liqs., gas bubbles are fed vertically upwards, from gas supply outlets onto a horizontal rotating diffuser plate which is fixed to a horizontal rotating diffuser arms. At least some of the outlets are located below the diffuser plate. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used for aerating wastewater. The diffuser plate distributes the gas bubbles horizontally, and the diffuser arms create a spiral circulation and break up the bubbbles to produce very fine bubbles. The appts. keeps the gas in the liq. for longer periods than the prior art.
