LCD operating in spectrum best matched to human eye - uses hinged background light source which can also reflect daylight

In current LCD devices, the background light source is firmly attached to the rear of the LCD. In this device, the background source (7) is hinged on a common axis (10) with the LCD (2, 3). If this light source is swung away, it acts as a reflector to direct room/day light into the back of the LCD. ADVANTAGE - Allows use of LCD in strong daylight conditions without eye-strain.
