Transmission testing of pump path of bulb pinched bases - using differential pressure switch in air duct allowing automatic control before further processing in prodn. line for incandescent lamps

The testing of the lamp pinched bases takes place using an air flow and with a fused on pump tube (2), in a test position. The air flow is applied to the pump tube in the machine cycle time and simultaneously at an air duct with a differential pressure switch (5) and, with the occurring impact pressure, the pulse produced from the differential pressure switch is used for the control of a selector unit. The test system is integrated in a prodn. line and one air duct (4) with a mouthpiece (3) at the end is connected directly to the pump tube (2) with the bulb pinched base (1). A second duct (4) is branched off from the first duct and connected to the differential pressure switch (5). The electrical contacts of the switch are connected to an evaluation and selector unit. USE/ADVANTAGE - Permeability testing of bulb pinched base. Carried out in prodn. line without additional machine processing cycle.
