A process for the safe disposal and storage of atomic waste, includes super cooling the waste until brittle, grinding it, filling it into a container and mixing it with lead. The container dia. is such that it can be lowered into bore holes. The bore holes are in the form of pipes used for obtaining crude oil or natural gas. The containers are lowered into the oil- or natural gas fields through the pipes. ADVANTAGE - The process can be carried out on a world wide basis, and the waste is permanently disposed of and out of reach.
