The vehicle end frame is made from a series of triangular sectionse joined by struts to form a self supporting, rigid frame. The end panel is formed by a vertical triangle section (6) apex (12) at the top while the bulkhead (10) to the passenger compartment has a vertical triangle with the apex (15) downwards. The frame supports the power unit or rear suspension. The frame can be pre-assembled complete with engine etc. and fitted to the remainder of the vehicle. The triangular sectionse can be reinforced by metal panels. Sections of the frame can be crush-designed. ADVANTAGE Strengthened frame, improved safety.
